This is a hands on role where you will take responsibility for stock management. Currently the company has a number of warehouses that they utilise when large deliveries come in but they would like to implement a more stringent stock management system. The company are looking to entrust this to their new apprentice.

  • Warehouse management, stock location and arrangements for reorganisation (this will involve lifting activities to move stock)
  • Take delivery of incoming shipments ensuring effective storage
  • Setting up shipments to Amazon
  • Conducting stock checks and counting activities using Microsoft Excel
  • Creating damaged goods reports and ensure these are sent to management in a timely manner
  • Add shipment deliveries to office calendars to ensure the team know when new containers/deliveries are arriving
  • Answer the company telephones and ensure that general queries are dealt with and that effective messages are taken when necessary.
  • Learn to understand the shipping process and how to make sure that all shipping is done in a timely manner to ensure full customer satisfaction.
  • Create inventory alerts for notification when stock is low or when new stock arrives
  • Use systems (alongside the remainder of the team in UK and in China) called Wunderlist and Dropbox to help manage workload and share work documents/updates

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
