Wellington's café bistros are based in cherry lane garden centres. We offer breakfast and dinner all treats in-between. Great atmosphere within a fantastic setting even if you're not green fingered wellingtons is a great place to visit and meet up. We lover offering fantastic fresh produce for all clients.

The role holder is accountable for ensuring that they follow all Food safety & Health & Safety guidelines to keep us compliant with Regulations

They should have strong communication skills and liaise with the Management team regularly on stock control, and wastage

  • You should have the passion and desire to produce consistently excellent products in line with the company spec books.

As a Commis Chef you will be working with the Head Chef to prepare:

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner using fresh ingredients in a busy kitchen.
  • This role suits a reliable, energetic and enthusiastic character who works well under pressure and with good initiative. With a very regular and repeat clientele maintaining standards and food quality at all times is of paramount importance.
  • Working to strict food hygiene standards and maintaining kitchen cleanliness at all times is also a key aspect of working in Wellington's
  • Receiving, checking and putting away regular deliveries will also feature in your role. Understanding and managing the journey of the food from source to plate is a key part of delivering a top customer experience.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Education Requirements for the role

Have the ability to produce dishes in line with strict timings and follow guidelines as set by the kitchen Manager
