Jigsaw Foods are looking to appoint a Warehouse Operative Apprentice who will work in the companies' busy and fast paced warehouse. This is a role for someone who enjoys physical work and is keen on beginning a career with the company.
Vision Apprentices are working with Jigsaw Foods to recruit a Warehouse Operative apprentice, to work continental shifts (4 days 6am-6pm; 4 off; 4 nights 6pm-6am). By law, you must be at least 18 years of age to work between 10pm and 6am.
Jigsaw Foods are a young, dynamic and growing company who can offer great career opportunities in a wide variety of job roles. Jigsaw Foods manufactures and supplies sauces, dressings and marinades to other food manufacturers and well known Restaurant chains. The business has grown impressively since 2008, with previous successful apprentices continuing in employment with the company. We were listed as one of the “1,000 most Inspiring Companies in the UK” by the London Stock Exchange and The Telegraph.
As part of your Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 qualification, you will be trained to operate a Fork Lift truck and expected to load and unload vehicles, input onto a computerised system, comply with food safety procedures and take part in stock control activities.
In its first 10 years, Jigsaw Foods have employed at least 6 apprentices, after they successfully completed their apprenticeship. As well as Warehouse Operations, we have ex-apprentices working in Production Administration, Planning, Supply Chain and Health & Safety.
The £309 p/w salary reflects the fact that, following initial training, the Warehouse Operative Apprentice will work on continental shifts (4 days 6am-6pm; 4 off; 4 nights 6pm-6am). By law, you must be at least 18 years of age to work between 10pm and 6am.
Due to the location of the business it's desirable that you have access to your own transport or live relatively local. This is a great chance to work alongside the warehousing team in a role which will allow you to learn about how a busy and modern warehouse operates in the food industry.
