Wright Engineering are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Payroll / Personnel Assistant (Currently training in NVQ Business Admin) to work within our small Payroll team.

Based in Worksop, just a short distance from J30 of the M1, we are situated in the centre of the UK's engineering heartland and are ideally placed to service the farthest reaches of the country and beyond.

Utilising the large pool of well-trained, skilled manpower that was available as a result of the colliery closures in the area, the company was based on the fundamental approach of high quality and service, at reasonable cost. This approach has endured for over 30 years and has resulted in steady growth and expansion that continues to the present day.

In 1998 we relocated to the current site on the outskirts of Worksop. The purpose built manufacturing facility has subsequently been extended to its maximum and in 2011 built new offices and stores adjacent to the original site, on newly acquired land. Wright Engineering's core competence is in the field of materials handling, storage and processing

A great opportunity has arisen for someone who would like to progress, learn, train & develop in a Payroll / Personnel role.

You will report to the Payroll/Personnel Manager, ongoing training and support will be given throughout you will be encouraged to continue you NVQ Business Admin qualification(s) along with in the work place training.

Your responsibilities would include but not limited to:

  • Timesheets
  • Overnight allowance reports
  • Holiday and Absence record keeping
  • Preparing New Starters / Leavers files
  • General Admin
  • Data Entry
  • Running various errands
  • Filing and Archiving

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • The ability to work well alone and use own initiative
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Good attention to detail

Candidates should have an excellent telephone manner, be professional and understand confidentiality is key in this line of work. You must have good working knowledge of Outlook, Word & Excel. Immediate start is preferred.

Although this vacancy advertised at £4.20, based on experience can negotiate at interview stage

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
