Based on Acorn Business Park, Lenton Lane - the business is easily accessible. The unit is well designed and is undergoing further transformation with an extension to the current mezzanine flooring. The business owners are keen to welcome an apprentice to the team and to continue with their business growth plans.

This is a busy warehouse environment where your day will be spent servicing the requirements of both wholesale clients and retail customers.

Your responsibilities will evolve as your knowledge and experience grows but will include along the way:

  • Generating electronic customer orders to enable you to pick and pack the correct items
  • Generating electronic dispatch notes and printed labels for outbound packages
  • Booking in new deliveries, checking for discrepancies and allocating stock to the correct area of the warehouse
  • Maintaining health and safety in the warehouse environment with regular housekeeping, waste disposal and monitoring for a safe working area
  • Maintaining a good knowledge of cost effective with regards to waste disposal and recycling
  • Maintaining correct stock levels based on trends in customer orders
  • Report low stock levels so that replenishments can be arranged
  • Quality checking outbound deliveries
  • Packing outbound deliveries in the most cost effective manner to help business profit margins
  • Recording and quality checking returned products, aiding the refurbishment of such products and aiding the re-sale by allocating to the correct area of the warehouse
  • Working with the company directors to create and implement working procedures for the warehouse to ensure effective working for all involved

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
