MCC Direct are a warehousing and Distribution company who have grown steadily over the past few years due to their strong company values this has led to expansion both locally and over in America. Because of the growth of this business they are now looking to appoint a further warehouse apprentice, you will be part of a team of 8 and will be ensuring the correct and timely delivery of baby goods including car seats, cots, playpens, high chairs, change tables and other nursery products.

As an apprentice Warehouse Apprentice you will be working as part of a small team. Undertaking general warehouse and logistic duties, handling goods in and goods out. Preparing dispatch notes and labels for all products. Packaging and ensuring goods are stored correctly. There is a progression route onto Level 3 for the right candidate. Ideally you will have a keen interest in warehousing and logistics and have the drive and enthausiasm to learn in a continually changing technical environment.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Undertake and complete all aspects of learning required to be able to complete the apprenticeship in line with your contract of employment and Apprenticeship Learning Agreement
  • Assist the warehouse team to ensure duties are being carried out efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist the warehouse team to pick and pack, receive goods in and assist with goods out.
  • Learn how to raise despatch notes and produce labelling.
  • Assist in keeping the work environment free from health & safety risks.
  • Attend and complete relevant on‐the‐job training as required
  • Strive to continuously improve team work, processes and effectiveness in the work area
  • Learn to apply HSE principles and practices within your working environment and ensure compliance with protective clothing equipment requirements at all times
  • Adhere to the company's policies and management practices

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
