The Archer is a local pub in Rainworth owned and run by Landmarks College. We have a popular following from the local community. We serve fresh produce that will be grown at our local farm. We involve our students from the college who help out at the Archer to complete their study programme.

As a commis chef you're on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef. In most kitchens you'll do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a chef de partie or section chef. You will also attend the chef academy once a fought night at West Notts College.

Duties will include.

Maintaining high standards of hygiene.

Preparation of fresh produce

Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately.

Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation.

Reporting to the head chef / chef de partie.

Cleaning down and setting up.

Helping other team members when required.

Once you feel confidante with your produce knowledge, you will be able to take the reins on creating dishes for the specials board and also appetisers. You will grow with the team and from day one you will be a valued member of staff.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
