Cardzone Ltd is a large card and gift retailer with over 120 stores nationwide. We are currently recruiting for an admin assistant to work in our busy head office based in the Hexgreave Estate in Farnsfield.

Cardzone are national card and gifting business with over 100 retail outlets (soon to grown to 200). They provide cards for every occasion from Birthdays to Anniversary's. From their head office in Farnsfield they support branches and insure the smooth running of the business. The office is based on Hexgreave Hall, which is a beautiful rural location with gardens and woodland.

As the first point of contact you will be responsible for answering telephone calls and dealing with the general day to day office administration within the office. You will also speak to colleagues who work in stores across the country and deal with finance queries and purchase invoicing. As the role develops there might be an opportunity to undertake finance qualifications and move into an accounts assistant role.

You will be supported to complete a workplace delivered Business Admin apprenticeship and it's hoped that you will remain with the business once you have completed your apprenticeship programme.

Cardzone Ltd have an exciting vacancy for a business administration apprentice to join the head office team. This is a career path opportunity for the right candidate as their previous apprentice is still with the business and there is great opportunities to progress within the company.

Initially, you will be learning the role, the business and embedding yourself into the team. With Data Entry as being the key part to this role, an excellent understanding and grasp of the English Language is a must. It is essential that you are able to communicate in a professional but friendly manner as you will need to communicate at all levels within the business but to clients as well.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Answering and transferring all calls, must have a good telephone manner and be confident.
  • Inputting invoices onto Sage accounting package
  • Signing off delivery notes
  • Filing
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post.
  • Any other general admin/accounts office duties as and when required.
  • Microsoft office experience essential.
  • Sage account experience desirable.
  • Organising and distributing post on a daily basis
  • Scanning and printing

Other Responsibilities

  • To undertake training and development as required
  • Complete all course work on time and to a high standard
