SDC is a specialist in concept, design, prototype and development through to low volume manufacture within the automotive industry. They have solved pre and post production processes for companies including Bentley, Lear and Rolls Royce.

They are currently looking for a Trainee Manufacturing Engineer, to study under a team of skilled operators to become a fully qualified member of the team.

You will learn aspects of manufacturing skills within the development department, particularly relating to CNC machine work.

An interest in engineering would be preferred and an eagerness to learn and pick up new skills is essential. This position will involve manual handling.

You'll develop your skills working alongside our time served fabricators working with stainless steel metal and foams to provide a one stop shop to the low volume specialist niche vehicle manufacturers.

  • CNC machine work preparation.
  • Setting of CNC Machinery.
  • Basic operation of CNC machine.
  • Supporting Engineer in Development related tasks.
  • Learning CAD Programming software.
  • Discovering Health and Safety procedures.
  • Report to the manager for general duties.
  • Work to specifications set on various products.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
