MAIN DUTIES

  • You will participate in process improvement activities.
  • You will ensure that Health & Safety requirements are met at all times.
  • You will highlight quality problems and participate in solving problems.
  • You will assemble a wide variety of components within a vehicle structure using spanners, socket sets.
  • You will use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble a wide variety of large and small fabricated components.
  • You will be able to read engineering drawings and layouts and Job boards.
  • Support the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing team, operating within Health and Safety practices of the company.
  • Adhere to manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Understand and comply with policies and, procedures carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
  • Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.
  • Participation as a member of continuous improvement initiatives.

    Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Good Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to read assembly documentation such as drawings and work instructions.
  • Experienced in the safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work within a ‘team' environment.
  • Ability to work in a complex production environment.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal communication skills to explain general information and effectively communicate with peers and management

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
