The plastics division has a strong focus on the Food & Drink, Personal Care and Homecare sectors. We specialise in the design and manufacture of consumer led packaging. We use our expertise in injection moulding, blow moulding and injection stretch blow moulding as appropriate. Robinsons can convert a wide range of materials including PP, LLDPE, HDPE PET. Our downstream capabilities include printing, labelling, multi-port assembly and wadding. We specialise in bespoke plastic packaging. Our in-house design team bring a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise to deliver the very latest in packaging innovation.

Repairing and maintenance of injection mould tools, construction of prototype tooling and other fabrications to support the machine area.

Key Tasks:

  • Manufacture spare parts for injection mould tools and related processes.
  • Strip down, service and repair injection mould tools, fixtures and jigs.
  • Use CAD system to design tool part.
  • Use CAD/Cam facility to programme CNC machinery.
  • Make use of all tool room equipment, including CNC, Lathe, milling, cylindrical grinder, surface grinder, spark eroder.
  • Order materials using business IT system.
  • Understand injection moulding process and be able to operate an injection moulding machine.
  • Understand technical information and tool drawings.
  • To maintain all associated documentation and quality records.
  • Keep work space clean and tidy and work in a safe and diligent manner.
  • Understand health and safety requirements and to always work in a way to ensure the health and safety of you and your colleagues.
  • To present and promote an appropriate public image in representing the Company.
  • To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required to commensurate with the post.

  • To attend college and complete coursework on time and to a high standard.
  • To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner and comply with health and safety policies and procedures.

  • To be conversant with and participate in activities and developments relevant to the post.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
