Full description

The plastics division has a strong focus on the Food & Drink, Personal Care and Homecare sectors. We specialise in the design and manufacture of consumer led packaging. We use our expertise in injection moulding, blow moulding and injection stretch blow moulding as appropriate. Robinsons can convert a wide range of materials including PP, LLDPE, HDPE PET. Our downstream capabilities include printing, labelling, multi-port assembly and wadding. We specialise in bespoke plastic packaging. Our in-house design team bring a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise to deliver the very latest in packaging innovation.

Repairing and maintenance of injection moulding machines, robotics, printing/labelling equipment and all ancillary equipment used on site.

Key Tasks:

  • To carry out routine maintenance on all production equipment.
  • Identify faults on production equipment and rectifying them in a timely manner.
  • Be able to understand technical information including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
  • Make use of and understanding of fault finding/testing equipment used in the Maintenance Department.
  • Installation / relocation of new and existing machinery as required.
  • Programming and parameter changing of robotic equipment to suit moulding process.
  • Source and order parts using business IT system.
  • Understand injection moulding process and be able to operate an injection moulding machine.
  • General factory maintenance including regular testing of fire sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems.
  • Maintain and test water systems on site to ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Along with the team, identify specific team and work area problems and assist in implementing improvement plans.
  • To maintain all associated documentation and quality records.
  • Keep work space clean and tidy and work in a safe and diligent manner.
  • Understand health and safety requirements and to always work in a way to ensure the health and safety of you and your colleagues.
  • To present and promote an appropriate public image in representing the Company.
  • To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required to commensurate with the post.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
