Newgate Lodge is a residential care home just outside of Mansfield Town Centre, it specialises in the therapeutic care needs of its residents, who have many different needs.

The home offers a homely, comfortable and spacious environment for those living and working there.

The key to Newgate Lodge's success is very much down to the dedicated staff who work there, this is from the carers, to the maintenance team, the kitchen team and office staff who are led by a very experienced and motivated management team.

Newgate Lodge are looking for someone special to join their reception/admin team, you will need to be a “people person”, the kind of person who is happy to go the extra mile and likes to walk out of the door each afternoon knowing they have done a good job!

You will be supported by a workplace mentor and also by regular visits from your college assessor who will help you to achieve your apprenticeship in Customer Service.

  • Answering the telephone and being the first point of contact within the home
  • Meeting and greeting residents to the home
  • Ensuring the visitor book is signed and all Health and Safety Guidelines are followed
  • Taking messages for residents and staff and ensuring they are accurate and passed on promptly using the most appropriate communication method
  • Booking appointments for GP's and other regular visitors to the home
  • General Administration Duties including, filing, scanning, photocopying, letter writing
  • Dealing with both incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • Inputting and extracting information from internal computer systems
  • Ensuring stock levels for office consumables are monitored and re-ordered when necessary
  • Liaising with residents when required

Please note that a smart appearance is imperative as you will be the first port of call and representing the home at all times, also good clear communication skills and an ability to communicate with people from all walks of life is an important part of this role.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
