We are looking for a Business administrator apprentice to join our busy team. You will be trained how to be the first point of contact for telephone calls and emails received along with all the daily administration tasks required.

AF Switchgear are one of the UK's largest switchgear manufacturers and set the standard for LV Switchgear and Power Distribution. We have four facilities on one site in Nottinghamshire adjacent to Junction 28 of the M1 giving us transport links all across the country. Our modern design, administration and manufacturing facilities cover over two hectares. Our Administration function is an essential part of supporting every member of the AF Switchgear Group, whilst ensuring that the day to day operation of the business is conducted smoothly.

  • Responsible to Central Services Supervisor.
  • Place orders as directed onto efacs system.
  • Mail collection and delivery (tray runs).
  • Filing/archiving of accounting paperwork, quotes, contracts etc.
  • Enter/maintain/update parts database within efacs.
  • Assist Engineering in the supply of contract/ site / work files.
  • Maintaining catering supplies and stationery in all Departments.
  • Progressing of orders placed with suppliers.
  • Matching purchase ledger invoices to delivery notes.
  • Collation of non-conformance records, updating supplier master records and marrying to credit notes where necessary.
  • Create Switchboard labels as required.
  • Issue of uniforms and maintenance of records/stock.
  • Re-stock quality documents throughout the Company
  • Scanning documents.
  • CD writing/copying.
  • Share telephone answering role with Receptionist and ensure that telephone is promptly answered.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
