Space Inclusive is a social enterprise that is committed to improving the lives and prospects of people with learning disabilities and learning difficulties. They provide person centred programmes for young adults aged 18+ to help them transition from school or college into a sustainable adult life by offering practical real life based activities.

They have bases in, Sherwood, Mansfield Woodhouse and Nottingham City Centre and you will be working across all three to ensure you gain high levels of skills and knowledge to enable you to complete an apprenticeship in Adult Care at Level 3.

No two days will be the same, you may be updating records on a client's progress, booking dental appointments or supporting a client at a community event but whatever you are doing you will have the full support of the dedicated teams at Space Inclusive.

This role would suit a person who really wants to make a difference to their peers and has gained a level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care.

  • Provide support, advocacy and information to clients.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to clients, including personal care where necessary.
  • Help clients meet their personal care needs (if necessary) sensitively and appropriately to a high standard, including personal hygiene, assistance with laundry, and preparing meals and drinks.
  • Supporting clients to take any prescribed medicine (subject to training), complying with all medicine policies, including storage, administering and record keeping (after suitable and appropriate training has been received).
  • Enable clients to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life by providing appropriate information, opportunity, and training (where appropriate) and support.
  • Help clients to identify and choose their support needs by using a person-centred approach.
  • Assist in devising, implementing and reviewing support plans.
  • Support clients to actively contribute to the running of Space Inclusive premises.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
