Oliver House in Kirk Hallam is a Nursing Home that caters for a maximum of 26 residents. It is rated good by the CQC and has built its excellent reputation upon the friendly, compassionate care each one of its elderly residents receives in a clean, homely environment.

The home is run by the owner, registered manager and senior Nursing Team to ensure the highest levels of care are delivered. They are now in a position to support two enthusiastic individuals through their Level 2 Adult Care apprenticeship. You will be mentored within the home and also receive regular visits from a West Nottinghamshire College Specialist in Health and Social Care.

The successful applicant for this post must be a people person, willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the residents are safe and cared for to the highest levels.

You will need a good attitude, attention to detail and a willingness to work as part of a team.

  • To assist residents in rising from bed, washing, dressing, bathing and general personal hygiene
  • To assist residents in toileting needs
  • To assist residents in meal times and snacks and drinks throughout the day
  • To help residents in day to day living and activities
  • To help assist residents to live freely and independently and to maintain dignity and respect
  • To report to Senior staff, Nurse on duty and/or Manager any concerns with the residents or the environment of the home
  • To record in residents daily charts and records
  • To help keep the homes environment clean and tidy and free from infection
  • To attended staff meetings and training set up by the home.
  • To apply and follow all the homes code of conduct, policies and procedures.

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
