Camelia House caters for just four residents and is located in Calverton. The residents have a variety of care needs that are met by the small and dedicated team of carers. The home is rated good by the CQC and has gained its excellent reputation by ensuring the residents are looked after to a very high standard.

During your apprenticeship at Camelia House you will be taught how to meet all the needs of the residents and this will enable you to complete the level 2 Adult Care apprenticeship standard.

You will be supported by the other carers and the home manager whilst at work and you will also receive regular one to one visits from a specialist from West Notts College.

All your learning will take place within the care home without the need to travel into college.

  • Your responsibilities will include;
  • To ensure the highest levels of care are maintained by supporting residents, as required, with all aspects of daily living
  • To support residents at meal times
  • To assist residents with personal care ensuring comfort and dignity are retained
  • To aid residents with limited ability are able to access the full range of activities provided
  • Assist with activities that may take place away from the home
  • Ensure that any concerns regarding the residents are reported to senior staff
  • To accurately record information in the residents daily charts and records
  • To help in ensuring the home is kept clean and tidy and free from infections
  • To apply and follow the homes code of conduct, policies and procedures

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
