The Freedom Community Project provides support for people within North East Derbyshire. They run a number of projects from our centres aimed at providing practical support for those who are struggling.

They also provide fun social activities for the community to encourage people and build self-esteem.

The Freedom Community Project's vision is for a society where people have the stability and confidence to steer clear of debt and make better choices, building stability both at work and at home.

The Freedom Community Project works with a range of partners and receives funding from several sources to offer the personal support and practical advice that enables people to make better choices and improve the quality of their lives.

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Answer the doorbell to visitors, establish enquiries and signpost if necessary
  • Provide general support to visitors including refreshments (when allowed)
  • Filing of documents in accordance to process
  • Writing letters with support from PA/Admin Assistant and distribution
  • Circulate quarterly Newsletter with support from PA/Admin Assistant

General Duties

  • To work in harmony with other members of the team to ensure that consistency and continuity of the standards set are met at all times
  • To work with the Freedom Community Project's Ethos
  • To comply with Freedom Community Project Policies at all times and to ensure that the duties of the post are undertaken in accordance with the Project's agreed procedures
  • Must ensure that all personal information relating to clients and donors is kept confidential at all time
  • To commit to, attend and support at least one Freedom Community Project annual organisational event including weekends or evenings as planned

  • Highlight areas of concern where appropriate
  • Communicate effectively
  • Work in line with the Freedom Community Project's Policies & Procedures
  • Use Microsoft Office programmes including Word and Excel to an appropriate standard, however training will be provided
