Advantage Engineering Solutions Ltd are a Steel Fabrication and Welding company that are based on Old Mill Lane Industrial Estate in Mansfield Woodhouse.

We are entering our 17th year of trading and won the Mansfield Chad Small Business of the Year in 2018.

The company is currently undergoing training to achieve BS EN 1090 (EXC2) and have been a member of the Alcumus Safe Contractor Scheme for the last 4 years.

Advantage Engineering have a very wide and varied range of facilities to allow us to manufacture a large variety of products. The companies we deal with are from a very varied range of industries such as medical, textile, printing, construction and food.

Examples of a few of these products are trolleys, barrows, racks, stillages, benches, and access platforms just to name a few. We manufacture in mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and plastics.

Experience is not necessary as full training will be given on the job. We are willing to take some time out to educate the right person.

What we are looking for is a motivated person, who wants a career in engineering. You will be required to work as part of a small team who work closely together on varying types of work.

Predominantly workshop based, there will be some site work at mainly local customers. There will be overtime available which a great chance to earn some extra money is.

Duties of the job role will include:

  • Cutting and deburring of materials
  • Taking deliveries
  • Drilling holes
  • Cleaning of welds
  • Metal polishing
  • Keep the workshop clean and tidy
  • Grinding of metals

As the apprenticeship progresses, the candidate will be given time to practice welding training given at college then gradually progressed onto smaller jobs in our workshop
